Production restarts at our Wuhan plant

by Tensar International, on March 26, 2020

Tensar are delighted to bring to you some positive news, which we hope will bring reassurance that there is light at the end of the tunnel during these difficult times!

We are pleased to announce that our manufacturing plant in Wuhan, China which has been closed since January, has now re-opened its doors and we expect to be back at full capacity in the coming weeks.

Production restarted on 17 March, after the Chinese government permitted businesses to re-open, and following deep cleaning of the manufacturing areas and equipment, offices and welfare facilities.

We have strict protocols in place to ensure the safety of our teams and of anyone visiting the plant, which include allowing only one person in an office at a time and social distancing in the manufacturing areas and the canteen. All areas are cleaned and disinfected twice a day and visitors (and their vehicles) are also disinfected on arrival.

Additionally, staff have their body temperature measured and recorded twice a day and must follow strict hygiene procedures, including washing their hands regularly and thoroughly, avoiding touching their own faces and using tissues to catch coughs and sneezes.

Currently all of our other manufacturing plants around the world are operating, under strict hygiene and social distancing measures. We are continuing to review our response to the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis, based on the latest advice and guidance from governments in each of our locations across the Eastern Hemisphere, and the safety of our staff and customers remains our highest priority.
